This medium size drawstring knitting / crochet project bag is the perfect size to hold a couple of socks, a light shawl or scarf project. It has a flat bottom so it's easy for you to look for what you need inside. This bag is slightly lighter and less structured than my other bags so you can squish it into a bigger knitting bag to keep your project separated.
The bag is made with Amy Gibson' Bushel and a Peck print in sea glass green with a lightweight waxed canvas bottom and lined with a medium weight cotton canvas. It has a drawstring top closure for those who prefer not getting their yarn caught on a zipper closure. Please note the drawstring might not totally close at first because of the sturdiness of the fabrics but will do so each time it's used.
The wax canvas that is used at the bottom of the bag is known for its premium quality. It is odor-free, water repellent and extremely durable. The wax on the canvas creates the rugged texture look that you see on the fabric of the bag. It is highly recommended that waxed canvas NOT be washed as that will take the wax finish off. The body of the bag can be spot clean only.
12" wide on top
7” at the bottom
5” deep at bottom
The 5th picture shows the same size bag filled with 4 skeins of 100g DK weight yarn; note there is room to spare. The contents of the bag is not included in the listing! Last picture shows the bag being held for size reference.
This bag is made using indigobird's (indigobird.ca) Leah Drawstring Bag pattern.
